Spammers are getting through everywhere
I run a number of sites and have noticed even though I am using a couple great spammer databases, they’re still getting through. It’s time to get tougher on spammers!
The current options don’t allow you to submit relative data if you block a spammer – an example:
A spammer tries to register on your forum. They are blocked because their IP is in the DB you’re using. They go to another site you own with a different IP but the SAME email address and they’re allowed in because your first forum was using a DB that did not allow relative submissions.
With SpammerDB, if you block a spammer, we’ll ask that you submit their email address to our DB to help block them on other sites. This is just common sense.
We’re in the midst of building/testing our framework and should have something to beta test soon. In the meanwhile, keep fighting – and get the word out about SpammerDB!
